In an area of urban growth within the town, the school is located in the plot with three volumes gathered in the shape of a U around the patio, making full use of the outdoor space available. The main volume, long and parallel to the street, has as its main feature large openings protected from the sun by mobile slats that regulate the natural light coming into the classrooms throughout the day. Patios on the first floor bring light into the communal space that connects the classrooms.

Public space in Pla de les Pruneres in Mollet del Vallès, a big free space in the centre of town. The tender’s winning idea comes from conceiving a hard surface with a great central rectangular cut, a green element housing a small central forest  with a clearing in the middle from which a  very tall sculptural boundary marker rises. This marks the centrality of the space and reflects unique parts of the town as if it was a kaleidoscope. The rotation of this geometrical element arranges the spaces around it and so the rest of the components in the square are organized: the pergola, the sculptural elements of the lighting, the dunes with terraced stairs, the leisure areas, and the underground cap park.

Ephemeral architecture project. The winning project, tendered by the Catalan Architects Association proposed a tridimensional wooden knot which, combined with the re-use of cardboard tubes that support the paper rolls in big format printers, generated a light, reusable combinable spatial support. Especially notable is the fact that the link between the elements happens geometrically without any adhesive or additional material.

An economical option promoting the recycling of leftover elements of everyday use.

This proposal for the building of a community centre in Roses was awarded second prize. The essence of the project is based on a volumetry formed by a layer of ceramic slates that tinge the vision but always allow the light to come in.  The ground floor is characterized for having great permeability generated by the large glass openings and by terraced stairs leading to a large double space that physically and visually connects the ground floor with the underground. The way the space is organized invites citizens to take part in the activities that take place in the premises
